Built on the very beach where the first American troops landed on June 6, 1944, the Utah Beach Museum recounts the story of D-Day in 10 sequences, from the preparation of the landing, to the final outcome and success. This comprehensive chronological journey immerses visitors in the history of the landing through a rich collection of objects, vehicles, materials like an authentic B26 bomber plane. With the film “VICTORY IN THE SAND”, relive the epic experience of American soldiers. And, with Utah Inside, discover the museum in 9 languages.
The Museum proposes inside guided tours and Utah Beach site guided tours on reservation.
During this complete tour, the visitors discover the historic beach, the remains and monuments honoring the memory of the soldiers. Accompagnied by our professional guides, the visitors relive the events that turned the tide of war at Utah Beach and experience the emotion of walking in the footsteps of Europe’s liberators.
For school groups, the Museum proposes educational activities (educational tools and booklets).
