If your organisation is interested in becoming an official part of the Liberation Route Europe and seeks to benefit from the services of the Liberation Route Europe Foundation, please read our membership offers magazine, which includes details on our different membership packages and the additional services we provide.
Before applying
Before applying for membership, interested parties must comply with the LRE quality standards, as detailed in the Liberation Route Europe Charter. This charter spells out the values we and our members defend and promote. Signing, respecting and complying with this document is essential to becoming part of the Liberation Route Europe.
Please note that the management board of the Liberation Route Europe Foundation is the only body authorised to decide on whether to accept a new member or not. Your application will therefore be submitted to the board for approval.
Who can become a member?
Museums
For example war, resistance, military, battlefield museums, memorial, and remembrance and peace centers.
Tourism authorities
Tourism authorities/organizations, in charge of territorial promotion and marketing (mainly local and regional tourism boards).
Governments
Local/regional/national governments, for example municipalities, regions, provinces etc. (following the different national legislation)
Research & Education organizations
For example, universities and education providers in general, research institutes/centers and all scientific organizations.
Other organizations
Other organizations not including in the other four sections: organizations dealing with remembrance, WWII history, cultural heritage, remembrance tourism. For example veterans association, War Grave Commissions, remembrance associations, commemorations organizers etc.
