Audiospots : An innovative way to unlock the hidden stories of the Second World War.
An innovative way to unlock the hidden stories of the Second World War.
Along the Liberation Route Europe you will experience what happened in 1944-1945. Almost 200 audio spots have been created across the Netherlands in the provinces Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, Limburg, Gelderland, Overijssel and Drenthe. The German-Dutch border region also offers Liberation Route audio spots.
At each audio spot a story tells about the impressive experiences of one or more people during the end of World War II. The stories of these locations can be downloaded free from www.liberationroute.com (also for mobile internet) or can be listened to via telephone at 0900-54 23 728.
With a smartphone or tablet you can also download the Liberation Route Europe app. This free app is available for iPhone and Android and offers easy access to historical events, sites, biographies, audio stories and more interesting content. It is even possible to download information before visiting a site.
To increase the recognizability for consumers theme, location and design of each audio spot fit to a fixed concept.
Audiospots in the Netherlands
The Liberation Route Europe Foundation cooperates with regional partners for the creation and maintenance of Audiospots. These organisations supply new audiospots in their province. For more information about the possibility to create a new audiospot, please get in touch with your regional Liberation Route Europe coordinator.
